I’m Hannah Dziadyk a graduate from Wakefield High School with on the honor roll every term. I am currently attending Bridgewater State University with a major in Elementary Education and Special Education. The influential teachers of my past have inspired me to become a teacher. I am will also be playing on the women’s basketball team.

As a student in high school, I was never the highest grade in my class. But I studied and did all of my homework and listened to my teachers. I learned to advocate for myself and ask my teachers and guidance counselors for extra help when I became a better student.

I want to become an elementary teacher to help young children develop so they can grow up and achieve their dreams. Bridgewater is one of the best education schools in the state and will have great internship opportunities for teachers. I have met numerous teachers from my school and many other schools who are graduates of Bridgewater and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the school and the education program.

I have done numerous volunteer opportunities like make a wish, basketball camps, police camps, summer camps out of the kindness of my heart to help and spend time with the kids and make them feel special. The camps involved No matter what type of volunteer work I do it is for the best of the kids and to gain experience around kids and being a mentor for them.

During my college years, I will graduate in 5 years and also join some clubs and be an Orientation leader and a tour guide. I was always involved in all the schools that I have been through and if I am not busy then I am not myself. I am used to school, sports, and extracurricular activities. I have established great time management skills from this and I love being busy and being involved in the community.

I am looking for a teaching opportunity to share my knowledge and to inspire young adolescents. I am passionate about mentoring young kids, teaching and inspiring communities and coaching youth sports. Teaching young adolescents to be ready for the next stages of their lives is what I want to do and to inspire them to live out their dreams and that nothing is impossible for them to achieve.

In my spare time, I love going to the gym, Netflix binging, volunteering for my community and I love listening to pop, rap and country music. I am also adventurous like hiking and biking. My favorite time of the year falls because of apple picking and cinnamon sugar donuts!

The Fear of Writing

As I walked down the dreaded hallway with smiling teachers and not so happy students there was a sense of fear on my face. I sensed that it was going to be a bad day, but I could not put my finger on it. As I walked towards Ms. Hughes bright colored room the last thing I need was a big writing assignment. “Slap” the giant stack of papers fell off her desk. As I ran over to pick them up I saw in big letters “5 Page Paper” I nearly dropped dead to the floor like the papers. Ms. Hughes quickly came over with her smiling face “Thank you, Hannah, for picking the papers up”. I then asked “Is this our next assignment” she responded, “yes it is”. My hands started to sweat the room was getting warmer and sweat began to slowly drip down my face. Fear and misery quickly came into the frame of mind.

“Ring, Ring, Ring” “everyone takes your seats,” said Ms. Hughes. As class began she started to explain the assignment and my head started to spin and every direction and out of shock on what I had to do. As she went around handing out the assignment my stomach began to turn into knots and my body could not move. “Hey you alright over there” exclaimed my friend Nicole. “Yeah, I am fine, Just a little nervous about this writing assignment”. “Don’t worry you will do fine”, said Nicole. “Ring, Ring, Ring” slowly and gingerly I get out of my chair heading out towards the door I hear “Hannah, the wait can I talk to you” shouted Ms. Hughes. I make a 360 degree towards and head towards her desk and the unknown of why she called me over has my palms sweating.

“I noticed you looked a little pale in the face, is everything ok, do you need help with the assignment,” said Ms. Hughes. “Actually yes I would love help and I feel overwhelmed with the assignment” “No problem come and see me after school tomorrow,” said Ms. Hughes. Wow, that was easy and now I am going to get help with this assignment. This is really good because the old me would just procrastinate and I would not know what to do. There is no feeling of anxiousness and fear anymore.

The next day when after school came around and we started to work on the paper. The more and more we worked together with the better the paper became and my confidence skyrocketed. After an hour she said “Hannah, I have to leave, what time for tomorrow” I said “I would like to write the rest of the paper by myself” Without hesitation, I typed and typed and it felt weird because I could never do this before. It’s crazy sometimes how someone can impact you and break you out of your shell. The result was an A on my paper and light at the end of the tunnel that maybe this writing thing won’t be so bad after all.

Did you know that Dairy food has not been a part of the diet of adults for the vast majority of human evolved? Dairy has been researched by experts and has found life-changing effects Rhetorical from the consumption of dairy foods. Dr. Ochoa wrote 7 ways that milk and dairy products are making you sick. This is very common in the world because you have lactose intolerant people then you have people who ignore that and whenever they eat dairy say they don’t feel well and then keep eating it and the people who eat it all the time and then the people who hate dairy products. The author goes into depth on the ways that dairy makes you sick and even gives you the warning that it may affect you down the road and to be aware of this and to stop consuming dairy products because it is unsafe for your body and it’s growth.            In her article, Dr. Ochoa first starts talking about how humans have only been consuming dairy foods for about 7,500 years out of roughly the 200,000 years that humans have been around. Dr. Ochoa is trying to tell the general population aka everyone besides lactose intolerance people that dairy is not as good as you may think it will be. This starts as a child that pediatricians have expressed concerned childhood exposure to dairy could show early development shortages in children. This article is meant for anyone who drinks milk and even has it in their cereal in the morning. Dr. Ochoa shows a lot of facts about dairy and proof from pediatricians and doctors and nutrition experts that dairy products are a problem but people are just ignoring them because it is just dairy.

The writer grabs our attention right away as soon as she starts talking about cancer and diabetes and developmental problems which is definitely going to grab the reader’s attention because it is about a serious topic that everyone wants to avoid but is also interested to read about. The part of her article that stuck with me and is sure to be stuck with others is the risk of developing cancer because the product could contain casein. You say what is casein? Well, casein is a slow-digesting protein contained in milk and it stimulates protein synthesis. Mrs. Ochoa brings up cancer not to scare her audience but to use it to her advantage and get people to listen to her message and to have people understand her message that she is trying to deliver, which is to stay away from dairy products. Dr. Ochoa also establishes the science behind the dairy product by explaining that the casein promotes cell growth and division and leads to higher circulating levels of cancer.

Throughout her piece, Dr. Ochoa uses many strong sources such as herself and fellow doctors and nutritionist to back up her statements and also adds data to the article. In this article, she mentioned cancer and bone problems and health problems that can occur later on in life that no one wants to deal with. This article addresses the audience to inform them of a major health problem that could affect them and their loved ones. She is not only asking people to read this article and tell their family and friends but to take action and leave dairy out of their diets because it can cause health issues in the future. Dr. Ochoa hopes that she can provide helpful information and she is hopeful that people will listen to her message. Reading this, the consumer is able to understand what they are putting in their body and how it can affect them.

Misson Statement

balance business cobblestone conceptual

My mission is to inspire young adults to believe in themselves and know that they can do anything they put their mind to, and as a teacher, I can fulfill what I believe in and help students grow and live out their goals! I want to lead a life built on the principles of integrity, fairness, good health, and help for others; a commitment to excellence. I want to never lose sight of what is important to me and what my goals and what I value in life. I need to recognize and develop my strengths as a person and trying to turn my weaknesses into strengths that I can use to help me become the person that I strive to be. I envision myself becoming a good wife and teacher and be seen as a caring, loving, patient, supportive person that I want to become. My inspiration for helping people comes from my family but specifically my mom. She has sacrificed so much for 18 years to help my sister and I learn how to mature and be independent.

Her willingness to sacrifice what she likes to do is the person who I want to become and who I want other people to also inspire to be like. The most important qualities that I want others to see is how dedicated that I am to my passion which is to help others. I know that everyone is different but I want to show people that they can become passionate about whatever they want to do in their life. My personal goals are to become a teacher and coach and be able to be a role model for young kids to help grow and mature and how to play sports the right way just like how I was taught. To have fun but also be competitive because sports can offer you some much and not just winning and losing the game.

My beliefs are that everyone should have an equal opportunity until they are proven they can’t do the task. Everyone should have the same chance and be able to have the same goals. Even just putting a smile on someone’s face makes me proud and feel like I made that person day just a little bit better each and every day. I would not call this a “mission” statement but a personal goals statement because you are expressing what your goals are in your life and where the inspiration came from.
